By processing vast datasets generated by combat aircraft, AI tools can detect patterns that signal wear, degradation, or impending failures, allowing maintainers to intervene earlier and more efficiently. The initiative is being developed with strict adherence to defense cybersecurity standards, ensuring data confidentiality and operational resilience. The partnership supports broader Pentagon efforts to improve readiness and affordability across aging and next-generation fleets alike. According to the companies, AI-driven sustainment will help reduce aircraft downtime, optimize spare-parts inventories, and improve long-term fleet availability.
