The British Army, in partnership with RBSL and QinetiQ, completed extensive pre-production trials for the Challenger 3 main battle tank. Covering 789 km, the trials analyzed noise, vibrations, crew interactions, and ammo stability. The insights will guide final design adjustments and production standards. The £800 million contract will see 148 tanks enter service by 2030. Modular armor systems and a European-based supply chain, including sites in the West Midlands, Glasgow, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Isle of Wight, underpin the program.
