“The Pentagon is acting swiftly to integrate generative AI into its core military operations, giving Ask Sage $10 million to increase the use of large language models (LLMs) throughout all Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
The goal of the agreement is to improve battlefield decision-making and expedite processes in important fields like logistics, operational planning, command and control, intelligence, cybersecurity, and weapons development.
At the center is the LLM workspace for the US Army, which will enable Ask Sage’s AI-driven technologies to function flawlessly in both classified and unclassified settings.
