Under a $481-million contract, the first of two agreements that Northrop Grumman has signed totaling $1.4 billion will provide air and missile defense gear for the US and Poland for a period of five years. It will improve the software development for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) for the US Army’s Aviation Missile & Technology Consortium. Northrop Grumman will integrate Polish sensors, the UK’s Common Anti-Air Modular Missile system, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) and model-based systems engineering to enhance IBCS capacity.
