Leidos has won an $87 million deal with NATO’s Communications and Information Agency to create a centralized IT solution using private cloud technology to strengthen the alliance’s cybersecurity and network resilience.
According to the agreement, Leidos will lead a multinational team that includes Thales in France, CGI in Germany, Leonardo in Italy, and LA International and NEXOR, both of which are based in the United Kingdom.
The initiative seeks to enhance network scalability and bolster NATO’s overall digital transformation initiatives.
To improve interoperability and command efficiency, the system will integrate crucial functions, such IT service management and cybersecurity, across NATO’s operational network.
“This project utilizes cutting-edge solutions aimed at providing secure, mission-ready capabilities intended to adapt with operational needs, demonstrating our long-standing dedication to NATO,” said Steve Hull, head of the Leidos digital modernization division.
“Additionally, it opens up new avenues for increased cooperation across trans-Atlantic defense networks, enabling NATO teams to maintain a secure connection and share vital information with greater speed, agility, and confidence,” he stated.
