The Conventional Prompt Strike, the first sea-based hypersonic missile in the nation, was subjected to an end-to-end flight test by the US Navy. The test, which was carried out at Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, made the first use of the cold-gas launch technique. In the hot launch method, the missile ignites inside the launch cell.
