The US Navy is advancing afloat medical care by piloting the OpMed CDP digital health system aboard USS Carney. Designed to streamline medical documentation and improve continuity of care, the platform supports real-time access to patient records at sea and ashore. Following successful initial trials and sailor training, Navy leadership authorized extended testing to validate resilience in real-world operations. The initiative aligns with similar digital health programs across the Army and Air Force, reflecting a joint push to modernize military healthcare and reduce operational gaps for deployed forces.
