Textron Systems has received a $394.2-million contract from the US Navy to construct nine more LCAC 100-class Landing Craft Air Cushion vessels. This award builds on earlier contracts from August 2023 and July 2024, which supported materials procurement and initial development efforts for up to five units. The construction work will be primarily conducted in New Orleans, Louisiana, with support from other locations nationwide. The full delivery of the new hovercraft is expected by September 2030.
