“General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has signed a $580 million contract to ensure the security and readiness of American Army bases.
This task order covers the Integrated Base Defense Sustainment Support activities necessary to keep the operational readiness of radars, sensors, and cameras that safeguard facilities, their staff, and their infrastructure.
These perception systems are essential for preventing or mitigating cyberattacks, illegal surveillance, and hostile unmanned aerial system operations. The firm will employ its own Cove AI Ops digital accelerator technology, which employs machine learning and sophisticated analytics to analyze huge data sets, monitor patterns, and support well-informed decision-making procedures, during this endeavor.
The contract work will last for a year, and it may be extended for another four.
“The Army depends on robust, ever-ready defense systems to safeguard its troops and operations worldwide,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT Defense SVP.
“We are fully committed to this objective, and we look forward to providing cutting-edge technological solutions that guarantee these vital systems are always operating at their best.”
