The United Kingdom has signed a landmark agreement with NATO ally Turkey for the sale of 20 Eurofighter Typhoon jets in a 10-year deal valued at nearly $11 billion. The UK Ministry of Defence hailed it as the “biggest fighter jet deal in a generation,” emphasizing its role in enhancing Turkey’s air combat power and reinforcing NATO’s collective defense in a key region. The contract also secures around 20,000 jobs in the UK defense sector and includes an option for additional aircraft in the future.
