During the Talisman Sabre 2025 exercise in Australia, U.S. Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (VMM-363), under Marine Rotational Force–Darwin 25.3, conducted an aerial logistics mission using an MV-22B Osprey. On July 16, 2025, they delivered M142 HIMARS ammunition pods in the Northern Territory, showcasing advanced allied interoperability and rapid support for dispersed ground operations. The MV-22B tiltrotor aircraft, developed by Bell Boeing, combines the lift capability of a helicopter with the speed of a plane. With internal cargo limits up to 9,000 kg and speeds exceeding 430 km/h, it operates in remote zones and transitions quickly to high-speed flight. This mission validated its unique suitability for critical, time-sensitive logistics in joint operational environments.
