As part of a 14-helicopter agreement that was signed last year, Airbus has sent Iraq two medium-lift H225M Caracal helicopters. The Iraqi Ministry of Defense in Baghdad has received the helicopters, and they are expected to be turned over to the Iraqi Air Force during the course of the month. Both planes are expected to go into operation in June. The next six units are scheduled to arrive between June and October, with the last batch arriving by the beginning of 2026.
