The U.S. Army awarded AM General a $126.5 million contract for additional M1165A1B3 Humvees, expanding a previously signed deal that now exceeds $3 billion. While the precise quantity remains undisclosed, this new order will enhance the existing fleet of approximately 120,000 Humvees. Manufacturing will take place in South Bend, Indiana, through August 2027. The project is being managed by the Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal. Separately, AM General has signed a $150 million agreement with Israel to provide similar vehicles to support its land forces due to the ongoing Gaza conflict and future defense needs.
