In Taichung, the Republic of China Army displayed its newly acquired tactical ground system, the M1167 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee).
Compared to earlier Humvee models, this platform has more firepower assistance and armor to provide force protection while retaining continuous combat readiness on the modern battlefield.
One of the vehicle’s primary characteristics is an “up-armored” TOW (tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided) anti-tank missile system that offers greater range and accuracy.
With the TOW integration, users may attach different weapon systems and engage targets in a 360-degree firing arc. Furthermore, this Humvee’s passenger and cargo capacity has increased (1,850 lbs/839 kg), and it can provide logistical support in an active zone in any weather via airdrop or rotary-wing sling-load delivery.
The vehicle is equipped with a standard chassis, windshield, and underbody coating for anti-ballistics, with choices for more frag kits based on the demands of the task.
The M1167 Humvee has a top speed of 70 miles (113 kilometers) per hour and is driven by a 190 horsepower turbocharged diesel engine and a four-speed automatic gearbox.
