The second Miguel Malvar-class guided-missile corvette for the Philippine Navy has been launched by Hyundai Heavy Industries. The ceremony, which took place in the South Korean port city of Ulsan, is a component of a 2021 contract for two warships to supplement the force’s current Jose Rizal-class frigates, also constructed by Hyundai. The BRP Diego Silang (FFG-07) was transferred from the shipyard’s dry dock to the water for the first time during the event.
