The prospective sale of an estimated $3.5 billion worth of AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) to Saudi Arabia has been approved by the US State Department. The sale includes 1,000 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs, 50 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM guidance sections, and technical support. RTX is the main contractor, and there has been no mention of an offset agreement. The US Congress must ratify the transaction before it can proceed.
