The U.S. Navy gave Raytheon Technologies (RTX) a $590 million follow-on production contract for the creation and implementation of the Next-Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) system. By successfully interfering with enemy radars and communications, lowering targeting ranges, and breaking up enemy kill chains, the aim of this program is to improve the Navy’s electronic warfare capabilities. EA-18G Growler planes will be equipped with the NGJ-MB system, enhancing their electronic warfare skills in combat.
