The 24th and last Rafale fighter jet from the French Dassault Aviation has arrived at the Tanagra air base of the Hellenic Air Force. This most recent delivery is a component of a March 2022 agreement for Athens to buy six more new Rafale aircraft, which followed a 2.5 billion euro ($2.5 billion) deal signed in January 2021 to purchase 18 Rafales. The single-seat aircraft was welcomed by the Greek 332nd Squadron, which now joins the rest of the nation’s fleet of combat aircraft, which includes F-16s in various configurations and the incoming F-35 Lightning II fighter jets.
