Ahead of its first order, Rheinmetall has provided the Italian Army with a KF41 Lynx infantry fighting vehicle for evaluations. This initiative is a component of Rome’s plan to invest up to 5.2 billion euros ($5.3 billion) in the adoption of new tracked systems that were announced in early 2024. According to a Defense News report, the loaned testbed vehicle was sent to the army’s Montelibretti center, where it will be subjected to assessments from the military and Leonardo, Italy’s local program partner.
