As part of the service’s airborne long-range surveillance fleet modernization program, Lockheed Martin has provided the US Coast Guard with the 18th airframe to be converted into an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft. The aircraft, which was transported in its base C-130J Super Hercules configuration, will undergo a one-year integration procedure in Georgia to improve its maritime patrol and heavy air transport capability in accordance with the project’s standards.
