Thales has introduced STORM 2, a lightweight wearable counter-drone system designed to protect soldiers from hostile unmanned aerial vehicles. The device weighs less than two kilograms, allowing troops to carry it without limiting mobility during field operations. Originally created to protect personnel from improvised explosive devices, the technology has evolved into a compact drone-defense tool capable of jamming frequencies between 20 megahertz and 6 gigahertz. By disrupting communication links between drones and their operators, the system helps prevent enemy surveillance and attacks.
