“To manufacture its Ground Master air surveillance radars in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thales has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Tawazun Council.
The agreement, which was signed during the “Make it in the Emirates 2025” event, furthers the UAE’s aim of strengthening national defense capabilities, increasing domestic defense production, and increasing international exports.
By 2027, the future manufacturing facility, which will be used to construct, test, and certify cutting-edge air surveillance radars, is anticipated to be completely operational.
Matar Ali Al Romaithi, Sector Chief of Defense and Security Industry Affairs at Tawazun Council, said, “The strength of the UAE’s defense industrial strategy and its regional leadership in advanced technologies is reflected in the expansion of Thales’ Radar Centre of Excellence.”
