Textron and Leonardo have teamed up to propose the M-346N jet for the U.S. Navy’s Undergraduate Jet Training System. The aircraft is derived from Leonardo’s M-346 trainer, with enhancements like a digital cockpit, modern avionics, and integrated simulation (Live-Virtual-Constructive). Designed to replace the T-45 Goshawk, the M-346N can train pilots for carrier-capable aircraft. It offers a twin-engine configuration, automatic collision avoidance, and a range of 1,300 nautical miles. The platform blends real and virtual elements for advanced training efficiency.
