Teledyne FLIR OEM, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has announced NDAA compliance for its series of dual-use thermal imaging modules—including Neutrino®, Boson®, Hadron™, and Lepton®—enabling U.S. government contractors and OEMs to develop secure, high-performance systems in line with the National Defense Authorization Act.
The NDAA limits the use of certain foreign-origin video surveillance and telecom equipment in U.S. defense platforms. Teledyne FLIR OEM’s compliant thermal modules are eligible for a wide array of federal, state, and local government contracts and are designed for seamless integration into both existing and future defense systems such as ground vehicles, unmanned platforms, missile seekers, targeting systems, counter-UAS, precision strike vehicles, and soldier gear.
Key products include:
• Neutrino LC and SX8: Compact MWIR focal plane arrays suited for handhelds, gimbals, and targeting applications, featuring high-operating temperature performance.
• Neutrino QX and SX12: High-resolution, rapid-frame MWIR models for ISR, counter-drone, and wide-area motion imaging missions.
• Neutrino IS: Combines Neutrino LC and SX modules with continuous zoom optics for SWaP-optimized solutions.
• Neutrino Ground ISR: Turnkey MWIR solutions tailored for ground-based ISR integrators.
• Boson: Uncooled LWIR radiometric cameras with resolutions of 640×512 or 320×256, offering multiple frame rates.
• Boson+: Premium Boson model providing superior thermal sensitivity with a NETD below 20 mK.
• Boson+ CZ: Incorporates a 5x continuous zoom lens for enhanced imaging and simplified integration.
• Hadron 640: Dual-sensor module combining a 64MP visible camera and Boson thermal sensor, ideal for uncrewed platforms.
• Lepton: The highest-volume LWIR module worldwide, enabling scalable thermal solutions.
All NDAA-compliant thermal modules are U.S.-designed and assembled with secure supply chains and undergo final testing at Teledyne FLIR’s Goleta, California facility. They are non-ITAR and regulated under the U.S. Department of Commerce for export purposes.
