Sikorsky and Robinson Helicopter Company are developing the R66 TURBINETRUCK, an autonomous helicopter designed to transform cargo transport and resupply operations. The aircraft features a modular architecture that allows operators to update software and configure the platform for different mission requirements. Built using technologies derived from the S-70UAS U-Hawk program, the helicopter includes a larger cargo fuselage and reinforced floor designed for transporting palletized supplies. A nose-mounted clamshell door enables faster loading and unloading of cargo during logistics missions.
