The formal entry of the T-7A Red Hawk into U.S. Air Force service marks a generational turning point in pilot training philosophy. For decades, advanced instruction relied on the T-38 Talon, an aircraft optimized for basic jet handling rather than modern mission management. As combat aircraft evolved into highly networked systems, training increasingly struggled to keep pace.
