Switzerland’s membership in the ‘Cyber Ranges Federation’ (CRF) initiative, which connects national cyber training infrastructures throughout Europe, has been authorized by the EU._x000D_
Participants in the project engage in collaborative training, workouts, and research on cyber defense applications._x000D_
The CRF connects national cyber training facilities and businesses to promote cooperative technology development that includes artificial intelligence tools, autonomous vehicles, and secure critical infrastructure like military systems and power grids._x000D_
Its primary goal is to integrate and increase national cyber defense capabilities into a single system, standardizing procedures like testing, validation, and experimentation among member states._x000D_
The CRF, which also includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Finland, is headed by Estonia._x000D_
The initiative also includes France, Italy, Latvia, and Luxembourg._x000D_
Recently, Russia attacked Ukraine with improved Iskander-M ballistic missiles, which were designed to be harder to intercept, even for sophisticated systems like the American Patriot. Out of the nine missiles that hit Kyiv, including the Iskander and the North Korean KN-23, six were successfully intercepted, according to Yurii Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force. To lessen the likelihood of interception, the Iskander missiles used radar decoys and followed a semi-ballistic path, according to Ihnat. He stressed that although these improvements make it more difficult to defend, they do not make interception impossible, and he said he was sure that Ukraine’s partners are already working on strengthening its air defenses._x000D_
Indra has effectively tested its Nemus active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar on Leopard main battle tanks._x000D_
The Nemus is a compact and lightweight AESA radar that can recognize bogus targets, withstand jamming, and function in harsh weather. It was made for contemporary combat scenarios where drones pose a major threat._x000D_
The Spanish defense firm conducted a test of the Nemus’ integration with the tanks during an exercise at the Spanish Army’s Armored Units Instruction Center in Zaragoza, evaluating its capacity to identify, track, and detect drones, projectiles, and other anti-tank threats._x000D_
Furthermore, the tests were a continuation of the same exercise conducted at the Army’s Radio Evaluation and Experimentation Center in Guadalajara in July 2024._x000D_
