Sweden has expanded its participation in the CAVS multinational armored vehicle program by purchasing 94 additional Patria 6×6 vehicles, raising its future fleet to 415. The 1.5-billion-SEK deal covers multiple variants, including transport, command, and Medevac models, with deliveries planned through 2030. Officials emphasized that the order demonstrates confidence in the joint CAVS framework, improving interoperability among partner countries. This acquisition follows other major Swedish ground-combat procurements. The CAVS initiative—led by Finland and Patria and joined by six European partners—adopts the Patria 6×6 as its shared modular platform. Additional nations may join pending mutual approval.
