The Swedish Defense Materiel Administration and OSI Maritime Systems have reached an agreement for the installation of its cutting-edge Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System (ECPINS) on Swedish submarines. The agreement calls for the deployment of the current edition of ECPINS via ECPINS 7 as well as multi-year in-service support. The ECPINS meets at least 70% of the requirements of NATO’s Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (WECDIS) Edition 2 and is completely compliant with it.
