As part of an agreement made in June, Turkish shipbuilder STM has sliced the steel for three Ada-class corvettes for the Royal Malaysian Navy. The ceremony marks the official start of the vessel production phase at the company’s Istanbul factory, with delivery anticipated by the middle of 2028. Once finished, the fleet, sometimes known as the Littoral Mission Ships (LMS), will be utilized by the Southeast Asian government for “a wide range of missions” in open waters.
