As part of its army’s heavy fleet expansion, Poland has announced its intention to purchase more K2 Black Panther main battle tanks from South Korea. The decision follows Warsaw’s $5.76 billion investment in August 2022 to acquire 180 K2 systems and over 200 K9A1 self-propelled howitzers. The new agreement, which is expected to be signed in Poland next month, will cover 180 more vehicles and is expected to cost around 9 trillion won ($6.1 billion), according to several sources.
