South Korea plans to establish 100 defense-oriented startups by 2030 to strengthen its defense industrial base and promote advanced technologies. The initiative also aims to nurture 30 fast-growing firms capable of achieving major annual revenues. Through collaboration with military units and defense contractors, startups will gain access to contracts, research support, and early-stage weapons development opportunities.
