Tetramer Technologies, based in South Carolina, secured a $12.5-million contract to embed its MOF bead technology into protective military clothing. The Pentagon-backed initiative aims to enhance safety in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) environments. MOF beads can neutralize chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals, offering lightweight yet protective gear. The five-year project includes R&D, testing, and collaboration with Kappler and other partners to ensure durability and battlefield readiness. The innovation promises to reduce soldier exposure risks while maintaining comfort.
