Austal has handed over the eighth Evolved Cape-class patrol boat to the Royal Australian Navy at Henderson, Western Australia. Named ADV Cape Schanck (313), the vessel is part of a planned fleet of 10, supporting Canberra’s ongoing program to replace the Armidale-class patrol boats that have been operational since the early 2000s. The previous vessel in the series, ADV Cape Solander (312), was delivered in September 2024.
