Turkey has started building Portugal’s first imported military ship under a contract for two logistics and replenishment vessels. Designed for global operations, the ships boast long endurance, a 14-knot economical speed, medical and humanitarian capabilities, and capacity for light armored vehicles, helicopters, and unmanned systems. STM, backed by dozens of Turkish companies, plans sequential deliveries within four years. The project adds to Turkey’s growing defense export portfolio, which includes UAVs, naval platforms, and precision weapons supplied to nations across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
