Poland has formally received the first 15 Borsuk IFVs, advancing a multi-year effort to field 111 amphibious, network-enabled fighting vehicles under a $1.8-billion procurement. The Borsuk, built by PGZ and HSW, is designed to replace legacy systems with a platform offering mobility, protection, and firepower suitable for both conventional and hybrid warfare. The ZSSW-30 turret integrates a 30mm Bushmaster cannon, Spike ATGMs, and advanced optics for precision engagements. Additional Borsuk variants—including command and chemical-support vehicles—are under development. Its ability to conduct unassisted river crossings and operate in complex terrain increases tactical flexibility for units stationed near Poland’s eastern frontier.
