Poland is considering a US offer of about 250 used Stryker vehicles for a symbolic $1. The platforms would come from US units stationed in Europe. While attractive, the deal poses challenges: significant refurbishment costs, new training and logistics demands, and overlap with Poland’s domestically produced Rosomak fleet. Military leaders argue the acquisition would expand armored capacity quickly and improve NATO interoperability. A final decision is expected in 2026 after inspections and security assessments.
