Pratt & Whitney has received an $18-million NATO contract to sustain TF33 engines on the alliance’s E-3 Sentry aircraft. The program covers logistics, parts, and technical support in Europe and the US. NATO’s 14-strong AWACS fleet, vital for command and surveillance, will remain operational through 2035, despite relying on engines first fielded in the 1950s.
