The UK Army plans to pair new autonomous drones with its Apache helicopters. These drones, called autonomous collaborative platforms (ACP), will scout targets, strike enemies, and counter threats, helping Apaches fight more effectively. The systems must have vertical takeoff, carry heavy loads (200kg+), and use AI for smart decision-making. The army will meet with industry leaders on August 21 to discuss designs and future use.
