At the 2025 Paris Air Show on June 17, Lockheed Martin and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed an MoU to expand their collaborative efforts into new domains. The extended partnership will now cover rotorcraft development, future air platforms, space solutions, uncrewed systems, crewed-uncrewed teaming, training technologies, and long-term support.

Lockheed Martin’s COO Frank St. John and KAI’s President & CEO Goo-young Kang formalized the agreement, which builds on a strategic alliance that spans more than three decades. Their cooperation started with F-16 production under license and has grown to include the T-50 trainer, FA-50 light fighter, KF-21 development, and integrated logistics support.

The companies have already begun exploring additional areas of collaboration, including continued cooperation on T-50 and FA-50 export efforts, such as the U.S. Navy’s Undergraduate Jet Training System program.
