The Lithuanian government has approved the acquisition of 12 Leguan armored bridge layers from KNDS Deutschland in a deal valued at €210 million. Designed for rapid deployment, the Leguan system enables heavy combat vehicles to cross gaps and obstacles in minutes, supporting high-tempo ground operations. The purchase includes spare parts, training, and simulators, ensuring long-term operational readiness. Already in service with more than 20 nations, the Leguan platform will enhance Lithuania’s battlefield logistics and interoperability with NATO forces operating in the Baltic region.
