Latvia has awarded Finnish firm Patria a contract exceeding 60 million euros ($63.3 million) for the construction and delivery of an additional 56 Patria armored personnel carriers (APCs). These new vehicles, intended as command and control units for the Latvian military, are scheduled for delivery between this year and 2029. This order supplements a previous agreement for 200 6×6 APCs, currently being delivered to Latvia as part of the Common Armoured Vehicle System program—a collaborative effort among Finland, Germany, Latvia, and Sweden. The production of these 200 APCs is taking place on Latvian soil, under a 200-million-euro ($210 million) contract signed in 2021.
