KNDS has reportedly booked 350 Leopard 2A8 orders from five European nations, expanding demand for the tank’s most advanced configuration since 1992. Germany, which ordered 123 tanks with plans for 75 more, will send its first batch to Lithuania to reinforce NATO’s eastern flank. Lithuania and the Czech Republic will each receive dozens, with Prague adding engineering and support variants. Norway will acquire 54 units. The 2A8 keeps the Leopard’s 120mm gun but integrates the Trophy APS, improved armor, and refined fire-control systems to bolster battlefield survivability.
