On April 16, 2025, the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) and the U.S. Navy came to an end with Korean Spring Exercise.
Between April 7 and April 16, the exercise took place off the coast of the Republic of Korea. As part of an annual series of exercises between the U.S. Navy and ROKN aimed at improving the mine countermeasures skills of the two armies, it is included. Utilizing mine hunting, detection, and neutralization skills, which included the underwater explosion of a fictitious mine, U.S. Navy and ROKN forces collaborated to clear a path for ships through a mock minefield during the ten-day drill.
The captains of MCMRON 7 and ROKN Mine Squadron 52 collaborated during the exercise to oversee mine hunting activities for U.S. Navy and ROKN forces. This exercise gave participants from the U.S. and ROK Navy the chance to learn how to work together as a bilateral team and improve their combined mine hunting skills.
