Ireland has committed to purchasing four Airbus H145 helicopters for 91.7 million euros ($95.8 million) to replace the Irish Air Corps’ EC135 fleet. As reported by The Irish Times, these new platforms are expected to be delivered by 2027, at which point the force’s two remaining EC135s will be retired. The new H145 fleet will be utilized by the Irish national police and security air support agency to train new pilots before they transition to operating larger tactical systems or aircraft.
