MKU Limited has secured a ₹6.6 billion ($75 million) contract from the Indian Army to provide 29,762 Netro NW 3000 Night Vision Weapon Sights, marking a significant milestone as one of the largest electro-optical orders by the Indian military. This procurement was carried out via the defense ministry’s emergency powers in alignment with the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, aiming to strengthen India’s self-reliant defense production. The Netro NW 3000, developed under the Indigenous Designed, Developed, and Manufactured framework, is compatible with standard assault rifles and substantially boosts target acquisition and engagement under low-light and nighttime conditions. The product successfully passed rigorous field trials demonstrating consistent reliability and precision across different operational environments. This weapon sight is part of MKU’s expanding array of electro-optics under their Netro Optronics brand, designed to elevate night-fighting effectiveness through superior clarity and extended range. Serving over 230 security forces worldwide with protective equipment and optics, MKU continues to invest in domestic capabilities to enhance India’s military modernization and troop readiness.
