India’s Ministry of Defence has recommended partnering with France for co-developing a 120 kN class fighter jet engine for its AMCA program. Valued at ₹61,000 crore, the project includes full technology transfer and aligns with India’s self-reliance goals. It promises significant advancements in local manufacturing, design, and aerospace ecosystem development, with engine rollout and testing scheduled from 2026 to 2035.
