At Kecskemét Air Base, Hungary has welcomed its first delivery of L-39 Skyfox aircraft, three of which were provided by Aero Vodochody as part of a larger 12-aircraft procurement. These trainer jets will play a pivotal role in Hungary’s strategy to strengthen its own advanced flight training programs.
The newly arrived planes are slated for duty within the 101st Tactical Training Squadron, forming part of the national Aviation Brigade. In addition to domestic use, the aircraft will support NATO’s Flight Training Europe program, ensuring Hungarian pilots train within a collaborative European network. Aero will also furnish essential training assets, such as simulators and ground equipment.
