Germany’s upcoming Luchs 2 reconnaissance vehicles will be fitted with Hensoldt’s Ceretron digital mission suite under a major contract extending to 2032. The deal supports development units and two production waves, starting with 274 platforms, and covers parts, training, and documentation. Ceretron merges multi-sensor inputs—including optical, thermal, and short-wave infrared—into a unified tactical display. AI-driven analytics enhance identification and tracking capabilities. The system links to the BAA IV observation module and SETAS 360-degree armored vision system. With MDOcore connectivity, Luchs 2 can share data across land, air, sea, cyber, and space networks.
