Two German defense firms, Helsing and HENSOLDT, have partnered to evolve the CA-1 Europa uncrewed aircraft into an autonomous intelligence node for multi-domain warfare. The platform will combine Helsing’s air vehicle design with HENSOLDT’s radar, optronics, electronic warfare, and self-defense technologies. Central to the system is the MDOcore software, designed to fuse data from multiple sensors and synchronize effects across operational theaters. Rather than serving solely as a strike drone, the CA-1 is being positioned as a networked combat asset capable of coordinating and distributing battlefield intelligence across domains.
